Introducing PTCA Regional Chapters
At the Patterdale Terrier Club of America (PTCA), we believe that the heart and soul of the club should reside with the dedicated fanciers who cherish and promote the breed. To further this mission, we are excited to introduce PTCA Regional Chapters – a way for enthusiasts to come together, celebrate the breed, and actively shape the future of the Patterdale Terrier community.
What Are PTCA Chapters? PTCA Regional Chapters are local groups formed by Patterdale Terrier fanciers within specific regions. These chapters provide an opportunity for community building, education, and hands-on involvement with the breed. Chapters will be able to:
- Host PTCA-Sanctioned Events – From trials and shows to working terrier events, chapters can organize competitions and gatherings that celebrate the skills and abilities of our dogs.
- Honor Chapter Dogs – Chapters will have the chance to recognize exceptional dogs within their region, showcasing their accomplishments and contributions to the breed.
- Engage in Chapter Competitions – Friendly rivalries between chapters will add excitement and camaraderie, encouraging excellence across all aspects of the breed.
Fanciers at the Core The creation of chapters is part of our ongoing effort to ensure the PTCA remains a club owned and driven by the fanciers. Through chapters, members will have more opportunities to actively participate in the club’s direction. Chapters will be given a voice in critical breed matters, including the ability to vote on significant issues that affect the Patterdale Terrier community.

New England Patterdale Terrier Club
NEPTC is the first official East Coast chapter of the PTCA and the official WORKING Patterdale Terrier Registry. Founded in 2024 by two passionate Patterdale owners, our mission is to promote the Patterdale breed through education, responsible breeding, and connecting Patterdale enthusiasts in the New England region. We are dedicated to preserving the breed's original purpose of hunting small game, while fostering a strong community of Patterdale lovers.
If you are a Patterdale owner living in New England & love hunting with your dog/dogs this is the place for you. NEPTC takes this breed very seriously & what they do with breed seriously. Keeping the breed pure in every way.
New York Patterdale Terrier Club
The New York Chapter, led by Kutup Kennels, is one of the most active chapters, consistently inviting others to join them in hunts and various activities that highlight the true working nature of the breed. The New York Chapter is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for all Patterdale enthusiasts. Michigan Patterdale Terrier Club
The Michigan Chapter, is one of the most influential chapters being they this state is responsible for many of the great imports that have come to the states. Contact us to join the Michigan chapter.
Ukraine
One standout chapter is the Ukraine Chapter of the PTCA, which holds yearly working events for Patterdale Terriers. These events are sanctioned PTCA competitions that draw fanciers and working dog enthusiasts from across the region. The Ukraine Chapter plays a significant role in promoting the working capabilities of the breed, ensuring that the Patterdale’s natural instincts and skills are continually tested and celebrated.
